Healing
911 is the call for help in all situations of danger.
I do not condone the actions that were taken by the terrorists on September 11, 2001. Nor do I condone terrorist actions, or hate crimes of any sort, at any time!
I wrestle with my emotions. Part of me thinks that we should utterly destroy the persons who conceived, planned, and implemented this horror. You know, "An eye for an eye." Part of me wonders if this is a frantic call for help to heal the world's misunderstandings. I do understand that the actions are purely Devil devised, but carried out by people who have fallen into the "Devil's Den".
We each have our own "Devil's Den" of actions that we later regret, of actions taken in anger lashing out at our supposed enemy. Gratefully, most of our actions are forgiven, because we struck our loved ones--ones who know the real person behind the action, and forgive the atrocities, because we, ourselves, commit same or worse.
Unfortunately, our enemy resides within. We are angry at ourselves for allowing ourselves to be deceived. It takes an enormously powerful faith in God to not be deceived. I can only think of one human that had that strong of faith, Jesus. Jesus understood that we are weaker in our faith. That's why he spoke his final words of humanity. "God, forgive them. For they know not what they do!"
The time for healing is now. We must understand not only our own feelings on any given subject, but we must understand where the other side is coming from also. We, in America, are very proud of our heritage, and our freedom--for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This freedom includes the right to worship God as we choose. It gives ALL persons those rights, even our supposed enemies.
Is it possible that our God is the same God that each religion of our world worships? Let us consider some possibilities. Our Biblical references to the Tower of Babel tell us that man, Humanity as a whole, realized the power he held over all creation. All creatures, great and small were subject to man's desires. Indeed, the Bible elsewhere [Genesis] states that man was given Power over all creation. Man believed himself to be so great that he considered himself God. After all, Jesus was a Man.
Believing that man was himself Godlike, we decided to build a tower to reach Heaven. We desired to live among the deities. In order to save man from his own deceptions God changed the minds of man. He confused speech so that we could no longer communicate clearly. I believe that he also separated our beliefs. As spoken in Revelation, Jesus speaks to the seven churches. He seems to like and dislike actions taken by each of the churches.
If there was any church that was perfect in nature, I believe he would have communicated that fact in that quotation. Therefore, I believe that each religion of this world, along with its separate language, indeed believes in God. If God loves each of us, then he also loves each of them. That makes them part of our family, as all believers are of the family of God.
How do families behave? Unfortunately, many families do not follow God's guidelines. God's guidelines exude love for each and every member of his family, unconditionally. We have the Ten Commandments which outline what is expected of each of us. There is Order, Respect, Caring, Nurturing. All of these elements are present in LOVE. After all, GOD IS LOVE! He gave us the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. This is NOT--Do unto others as they have done unto you!
Healing on the scale that is required to bridge these massive erosions, caused by millennial years of separation of thoughts, deeds, and actions, can only come from God's Laws. Curiously, there are only Ten; carved in stone by our maker himself. When these laws are fulfilled, there is no need of any others. Let us review these laws.
Ten Commandments
Deuteronomy Chapter 5
You shall have no other gods before me.
You shall not bow down unto, nor serve them.
You shall not take the name of the lord your god in vain.
Keep the Sabbath day, to sanctify it.
Honor your father and mother.
You shall not kill.
Neither shall you commit adultery.
Neither shall you steal.
Neither shall you bear false witness against your neighbor.
Neither shall you covet anything that is your neighbor's.
1. You shall have no other gods before me.
Mankind has served many deities throughout history. We have mythologies of many cultures where mankind has tried to explain the many facets of God's personality, of his great LOVE of all his creation. We also see references where mankind has been deceived into believing that a golden image of one of God's creations has been worshipped as God. This deception is serving Satan.
2. You shall not bow down unto, nor serve them.
Refuse to believe deception. Do not allow yourself to fall victim to fear, hate, terror, etc. The iniquity of this deception falls not only upon yourselves, but even to your fourth generation after you. What loving parent bequeaths this to his children?
3. You shall not take the name of the lord your god in vain.
God asks that you only speak of him with honor. Express the love he extends to you in grace with respect.
4. Keep the Sabbath day, to sanctify it.
Six days shall you labor, and do your work. The seventh day is to be spent in rest from your labors, in reverence to God. This is not only you, but all that is yours -- your family, your animals, your workers, your equipment. Take time to recoup energy. Take time to remember and thank God for all that he has done for you and your family throughout the day, week, and throughout history, for your ancestors. RE-MEMBER! Do what is necessary to re-become a member of the God family.
5. Honor your father and mother.
Listen to your parents. Follow their direction. They will guide you past their mistakes, and the mistakes of their generation, to prevent your being hurt. They will also pass on the wisdom of your grand-parents, and others. Honor their wishes so that you may learn from past mistakes and live a long and happy life of your own.
6. You shall not kill.
Killing is the destruction of life. God gives life. Satan devours life.
7. Neither shall you commit adultery.
Adultery seems to have front and center stage in our lives today. Ironically, throughout history it has lead to the destruction of families, and kingdoms. Even King David, a man after God's own heart, suffered from this deception.
8. Neither shall you steal.
Taking from another does not bring you gain. It brings the deception of having something which you did not have prior. In reality, what you received is the anguish of hiding, sheltering or covering your shame so that no one sees the real you. What was stolen was your pride in yourself, your honor.
9. Neither shall you bear false witness against your neighbor.
Telling lies to hurt another only brings more lies to cover discrepancies. Truth sets you FREE.
10. Neither shall you covet anything that is your neighbor's.
Be happy for your neighbor that he has a beautiful wife, an abundance of joy, wealth, etc. You can have your own if you work to achieve it, but not your neighbor's.
Living within God's Laws grants us peace in our soul. It heals the wounds we inflict upon ourselves and others. God bears our iniquities and frees our souls to live a life of happiness and love.
God gives us each free will to make our own decisions. Decisions to live within God's Laws and have our name written in the Book of Life, or to extinction with the Devil. Will you choose LIFE?
God, Bless each of us as we search our soul for a resolution to the sickening terror that surrounds us. Amen.

People who have fallen into the Devil's Den, are no better than demons. Watch carefully, do not allow yourself to hurt another believer out of fear of the unknown. Guard your mind, to keep the commandments. Ask forgiveness for your prior errors in judgment.
We know our family by their actions. Because our skin color is different, or our ways of worshipping God are different, does not lessen the truth that we are family. Look within your own home, you are not carbon copies of each other. You each express your views differently, you probably are not identical in looks as well. If you can love your siblings unconditionally, love your extended family, unconditionally. God does!
